This last weekend Kate and I were married! It was a steampunk styled wedding and we had a absinthe bar (naturally)

I drew these to hang on either side of the bar, they were about 3 feet x 2 feet.

Global Resistance

Chimera Buildings:

So there was very little reference as to structures that the chimera use for a particular purpose. I had a lot of freedom to make up whatever I wanted and had little to no revisions. Success!

Human Buildings:

The human buildings had to feel like they were worn and old and put together in a makeshift fashion yet be believable that they would be used by a militia.

Pitch Sketch

First pitch sketch I did of what it could look like. It changed to be a more modular RTS style building allowing the user to place buildings wherever they wanted rather than locked off spots.

MAP
The map was a complicated beast. There were countless revisions on borders and boundaries. The region in west Africa surrounded by other land was a point I fought to keep but it went the way of the velociraptor in the end.

Final map. Insomniac set it up so you can view this in game to keep an eye whats happening globally!

Aretar's sister who is also a wood elf. She is of a dying generation who can still hear the forest folk but shes disregarded by the rest of the clan as they have started to believe such things as myth. She is usually found deep in the woods covered with mud, twigs tangled in her hair as she talks to herself.

Wood Elf Ranger from a D&D campaign.

" He has long auburn hair that is usually falling to either side of his face out of his hood. His face is usually in shadow for his fair skin can’t take the sun that is usually blocked out by the trees in the forest. He always has a bow in hand and a full quiver at his back. Leather armor is usually tightly buckled around his body."

Enjoying these B&W character portraits. One more in the chute then onto some action scenes or something with color. ;)

Jt Marsh

He was the first leader of the Able Squad. Over the years, J.T. Marsh has proven himself as a man whom people will follow - even being the most famous and successful exosquad leader of the Exofleet, he remained a modest, attentive and likable person. During the war, Marsh piloted a "Falcon" #AA-500 E-frame.

Nara Burns

the youngest member and the second leader of the Able Squad. Her parents died in the Neosapien assault on Venus but her brother James survived to lead the Venus' resistance force. During the war, Burns piloted a#TB-024.

Marsala
Marsala Is the only Neosapien and the oldest individual in the Able Squad. In fact, he had been one of the leaders of the First Neosapien Revolt 50 years prior to the war and a close friend of Phaeton once, as they were created in the same brood, making them the Neosapien equivalent of brothers.

Wolf Bronsky
Wolf Bronsky is the longest serving and therefore most experienced member of the Able Squad. His marksmanship and tactical skills are flawless, although his methods of achieving the set goals have been questioned often enough. Bronsky had a heart of gold and often patronized rookies in the squad. He is also a slob who doesn't care less for etiquette and common rules. Bronsky was especially fond of piloting one of the most dangerous and unstable E-frames of the Exofleet - a #BD-100.

"Falcon" Aerial Attack E-frame #AA-500
Designed specifically for atmospheric combat, "Falcons" were often considered the best E-frames in the entire Exofleet because of their impressive maneuverability and weaponry.

Reconnaissance E-frame #TB-024
Less durable of the E-frames. Custom coloring were permitted for higher ranking members of able squad. Nara Prefers pink.

Wx76 "Guardian"

R99 "Bargain Blaster"
A cheap alternative. Alot of soldiers use these during the war as they are reliable and easy to purchase ammo for. Loosing or destoying a R99 is the equivalent of loosing your cellphone in todays standards.

Starship Troopers
Starship Troopers is a military science fiction novel by Robert A. Heinlein. The form more are familiar with is the 1997 film. The movie was a favorite of mine.

Issued helmet-
This helmet is the standard issue. Visor folds down and it holds multiple cameras and sensors to aid in sand storm blindness and entering the bugs caverns.

Morita Rifle
I wanted the rifle to have a feeling of something that is hightech but not so futuristic that it puts the timeline of the movie past our lifetimes.

Costume Variations-
Initial costume ideation's and variations. I wanted to go for a desert coloring pattern onto hard armor that had areas of soft parts to allow for movement.

Bugs!

Colonist Compound-
The compound is a settlement on the planet of Klendathu. The squad stops in to check a distress signal to find that they are ambushed by a swarm of bugs.

Design a Post-Apocalyptic vehicle that is constructed out of salvaged pieces. I choose a child day care transport to take children on field trips to the radiation pools, How they glow.

Its a story of betrayal and greed inside a large ship called the arc, which sits dormant in space. Next up, Two ships!

Costume Design

Heres One of my guys from Costume Design. Going for A roman soldier who is forced to command an army once he is taken hostage by an invading alien nation. He wants to keep his old armor out of pride but they add on there own designs and tech to make sure he stands a chance in battle.

Berkey Master Copy

John Berkey did some amazingly creative and intricate work and he did it all with actual paints. I was attracted to the hundreds of small shapes he puts into his pieces and the only way to duplicate it was to just paint it all in by hand. That quickly became a pain in the butt.

Viscomm 3. Choose a traditional Piece and try to duplicate it digitally.

This is Beowulf done in a Norse setting. I used traditional elements with some made up in the spirit of the vikings. I wanted a tougher hero that you would think could get the job done.
